Bernadette Mitchell RGN
Aural Care Nurse
As part of the ear care management service we have a specialist ENT Nurse, Bernadette, who is lead Aural Care practitioner at the John Radcliffe. She comes with 18 years experience in ENT and is also highly regarded as a lecturer practitioner. We are operating a specialist clinic on alternate Mondays which will be of particular benefit to those who have problem mastoid cavities, recent ear surgery and/or repeated infections. |

Ian Bottrill BM FRCS(ORL)
Consultant ENT Surgeon
From time to time we may need to refer clients and we work closely with Ian Bottrill - Consultant Otolaryngologist who is an expert in his field and therefore can deal with more comprehensive treatment if required. We are pleased that when necessary we can call on Ian's expertise.
Although providing a service in all areas of outpatient and surgical ENT practice, Ian has a specialist interest in diseases of the ear. This includes childhood ear and hearing problems, surgery for ear infections, cholesteatoma, problems with the bones of hearing, otosclerosis and Eustachian tube problems. He also has extensive experience in the treatment of Ménière’s disease. Ian is a national expert in the use of gentamicin for Ménière’s disease.
